Momentum is our weekly program designed for middle school and high school aged students. We are motivated and called to empower students to discover the person of Jesus, how His love and power can change lives! To do this, we want to create space where teens can be in a safe environment and will be engaged and encouraged by leaders pouring into their lives. Students will experience games and contests of all sorts, ensuring that they will feel included and comfortable because having a fun time and feeling accepted are crucial to the Momentum experience!
From here, Momentum will have two different expressions: Outreach and Small Groups.
Outreach evenings are opportunities for students to participate in a service designed for them and built around the goal of creating opportunity for a dynamic experience of Jesus. There will be music, a message, and an invitation to respond and encounter God in a powerful way. Outreach is designed not just for students to experience, it’s meant for them to participate! Here is where students will have the chance to serve, lead, and invite their friends to discover a powerful and loving God!
Small Group evenings serve as the counterpoint to our Outreach, and it’s in Small Groups that students will have opportunity to grow in their faith, ask real questions, and build authentic friendships. Students will interact in groups made according to age (grades 6-8/9-12) and gender (guys/girls). Small groups are all about creating space to disciple students, having leaders teach and share and encourage them as we dig deep into what God says about what our lives mean. Our goal is to be transformed by the Word of God and to do it in community. We believe life-long friendships will be formed here, leaning on each other as we all lean into God’s plan for us!
Momentum is where students are going to have fun, be challenged, and discover who they were meant to be! For more information contact Pastor Phil: [email protected]
